I hope you are enjoying the cooler temperatures we have been experiencing in the northern states. It’s been such a pleasure to breathe the fresh, sweet air and feel the caress of a warm breeze across my cheeks. Fall weather is here!
That leads me to my next topic which is transitioning some fall colors into your wardrobe. So what are the colors for fall you may be asking. One of my favorite colors chosen by Pantone Color Institute is Autumn Maple. It is a refreshing rust tone that immediately brings to mind beautiful fall foliage.
To keep color from overwhelming you, introduce it in small ways such as accessories. Transition this rich color with cream, ivory, taupe, or brown.
Another color I find myself drawn to is called Grenadine. Have you ever flavored a drink or perhaps added a wee bit to ribs? Delicious! And I think you will find that this color is as well.
This bright color will add interest to an otherwise casual outfit. A snuggly cardigan, always a hit on its own, becomes the star of your ensemble. Try adding grenadine with jewelry if you aren’t ready to embrace its richness.
Another favorite of mine for fall is Navy Peony. Just the name alone entices me. A full bodied blue that adds warmth to any outfit. Try it in a dress, on your nails, or let it wrap you in a shawl. Wear it with your favorite faded denim jeans and a peach top. Accessories love this blue too!
Which of these colors will you be wearing this fall?
