How to Wear Ultra Violet

y (1).jpg

Wearing this bold color need not be daunting. Add the 2018 color of the year by mixing it with neutrals such as blacks and greys or with prints such as houndstooth.

The above style set shows how you can add ultra violet to your work wardrobe. Adding touches of black by way of shoes, a belt and  a necklace keeps it lowkey. The cape adds a pop of color on a grey winter day to keep you warm.

This second set was created to share how you can use ultra violet in a print. Draw out the other colors of the print (in this case the pink and cream) by using other clothing items and accessories. This will highlight the violet in your outfit.

Playing with color should not be frightening. I hope these sets inspire you to step outside your comfort zone and try this beautiful color.

  1. I just yanked most of the color from my wardrobe in an effort to downsize to a semi-capsule wardrobe. I don’t own a lot of jewelry, I do have some pretty shawls. You know my sportier style… any suggestions there?

    1. Thank you Jess. I was actually thinking of you when I made the cape set. Did you notice the brooch?! 😉 Thanks for letting me join the link up. Having fun making some new blogger friends.😊

  2. I love colors and print so I am enjoying the outfits you created. I’m not sure that I own any ultra violet though. I will have to check my closet. Thanks for the inspiration!
